So we had our Doctor appointment yesterday. Baby A and Baby B guest included Mor-Mor (Mothers Mother in Swedish, my mom) and her longtime (50 years) best friend Carolyn who was visiting from Steamboat Springs. My mom got to experience the crazy puzzle of watching the ultrasound screen, it is a challenge to make sense out of the black and white, sometimes fuzz that is on the screen, that reminds me of black and white TVs back in the day, how sad were they? But after the 35 minute ultrasound she was doing better, the hands were always easy to make out. The babies still have lots of room to move about so that they do!
With twins I hear you are bigger then with just a singleton. I guess that is why my belly at 15 weeks 5 days with twins measured the same as that of a 24 week belly with a singleton. Wow, what is to come at 30 weeks? And 35 weeks?
Some of you may also want to know more information to, so if you don't you better stop reading now, but we learned that Baby A is an XX and that Baby be is an XX, so if your not up on you sex symbols we are having GIRLS! I had a feeling all along, not sure how, but did! I bought a few boys onesizes back when I was sewing the onesize when I was on bed rest, and I have never opened them, knowing I need to take them back. I thought I would wait for confirmation, which by the way is about 99% sure. Of course we'll make sure again at 20 weeks! For now me and the girls are heading off to the YMCA to swim a bit.

4 More Days

Well life happens and we moved up our Ultrasound date. Bill had a business trip come up and was going to be gone for this next appointment that was scheduled for next Wednesday so we moved our appointment up to Monday. There is no way I could go to the appointment when we might find out the sex of our babies without Bill. So lucky for all of us we should find out two days earlier then we planned.
I am enjoying my prenatal yoga class. Good stretching and nice to be around other women gestating since no one stands out when we all have beer, bowling balls or watermellons tagging along in our bellies.
The kids will keep the doctors away as they are the size of apples this week. Good thing they are safe are sound in my belly since there is a mouse in the house. Seems this critter loves chocolate too, like me, he continues to raid my candy drawer. I got rid of all the candy and only have a few pieces for bait stuck in sticky traps (I am desperate) and snap traps. The mouse is clever, but his dwindling cause our ferocious cat Clark is onto him (at least he sits and listens to the mouse).

Yoga
I am off to my first prenatal yoga class in a few minutes. I am bringing along my mat, water, pillow and a couple of lemons. You got it right, the babies are the size of lemons, imagine that at 14 weeks! They are 3 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and now has a downy fuzz on their bodies. Their hands are about 1/2 inch and they are most like able to suck their thumbs. Baby B had its hand in front of it face in the last ultrasound picture so I am sure it will be a thumbsucker, watch out for the orthodontist.
My belly sticks out all the time now. I have the pregnant belly for sure, with the bowling ball effect, as the sides of my stomach are flat and there is a round ball that begins just below my ever increasing chest.
Bill and I visiting Grandpa Bill and Nana in Wickenburg, Arizona this past weekend. They are very excited for Baby A and Baby B or Grandchild #6 and Grandchild #7 to come down to spend time with them to ride horses when they are out in the real world. I plan to keep my lemons in the oven for at least another 5 plus months, so we'll have to wait a little longer for that visit.

A Funny Size
So we're heading to Arizona tonight to visit my dad and Pam. Packing was very interesting as it will be much warmer down there and I won't want to wear my Yoga pants each day. Time to find shorts, I tried on the the maternity shorts I got for a great deal at a Mom's sale, and they are huge, and have a panel for your belly, so they are not going to work. So I got out a few of the short I normally (the whole rest of my life) wear thinking, I really haven't gained any real weight, but they are so tight I would never be able to button them, and the rubber band trick would only show half my belly. So, I am taking a pair of yoga Capri pants and maternity pants, that roll up to Capris and some skirts and dresses. Talk about a wardrobe nightmare, but I would do it any day!
We have a pair of medium shrimp now, so guess were of the fruit/veggie/ legumes analogies are gone, but I am sure it isn't the end, cause I hope I don't end up with lobsters in a another two months. That sounds very uncomfortable and pokie! I have begun to notice a shortness of breath, it is tolerable but think it is related to my intestines and other vital organs moving up to higher altitude as the babies take over on the plains below my bellybutton. Here are pictures of 10 1/2 and 12 1/2 weeks, of course taking in the earlier part of the day.
